I recently bought a refurb 8700c....I tried to upgrade to the new OS 4.2 and followed the instructions exactly. However, when I plugged the usb into the 8700 and started Desktop Manager, I wasn't prompted to do anything. What went wrong?

Did you try opening "Application Loader" to see if anything was pending to be loaded? Just a shot in the dark.

Also, are you positive that the 8700c is compatible with that OS version?
