    Go to options/advanced options/ host routing hit the menu button then register now

    Blueberry's advice should get you going.

    If not you could check to make sure the icon hasn't been hidden. From the application screen press menu and "show all".

    Go to the Manage Connections icon(it looks like an antenna) and check the box next to Mobile Network

    i cant even seem to locate that manage connections icon. my icon that looks like an antenna just asks if i want to turn wireless on or off.

    Ok. Go to Options>Mobile Network>Data Services ON.
