    I wiped my 8700C and installed the latest OS using the excellent "How-To Wipe with JL_Cmder" guide. Problem is the AT&T start-up/shut-down screen is still there. I'm not using AT&T so would like to permanently get rid of it. I'm wondering if it transferred over from my back-up? I listed all my BB internal files using CrackUtil but nothing obvious pertaining to AT&T popped up. Any suggestions are certainly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Welcome to CB. Sorry, but there is no way to remove the A&T branded screen that you see when the device powers on/reboots. It is programmed on a read only memory chip inside the phone. There is no way to reprogram it.

    @sunkast,

    Thanks for the quick reply. I am no fan of AT&T but I'll live with it as this is a great phone.

    Also, thanks for the welcome!
