If you are looking to play videos from youtube, you can use blueapple.mobi. Other than that I don't believe there are any other options for playing videos found on the internet.

Whenever I try to preview a video on blueapple some weird message pops up. Do I have to set some sort of configurations?

I think the 8700 does not have a built-in media player to play videos.
