Following an update which seemed a good idea my 8700 is dead. The LED flashes but nothing else happens. Plugging into the PC via USB using Desktop does not get a connection. Driver have been tested. How do I do a reinstall?

open application loader.

on the device connection screen, connect the blackberry without the battery.

If it picks up the usb-pin, proceed through the application loader options.

before pressing finish, put the battery back in, then immediately press finish on the application loader screen.

that should force the application to be reloaded.

If it does not work, call BlackBerry support :P
