yesterday i downloaded a program from this site and when the program was done downloading it went to 'data abort reset'. i clicked the wheel and the screen just went back to the same message. has anyone had this problem before and how can i fix it.

same thing happened to me. last night i downloaded a few themes and when loading them on to my phone i to got the "data abort reset" message. i have tried a soft reset and even went to the verizon store to get their help - they didn't know what to do except try to sell me a new phone.

anybody have any suggestions?

I'm guessing that you BOTH downloaded and installed relative programs for your respective device?

I take it a battery pull did not resolve it? You might have to reload the Operating System (OS). So, download the OS from your carriers website, install it on the pc, run desktop manager, and connect the BlackBerry. It 'should' force an update / OS install...

I pulled the battery and left it out for quite some time...did not work..it does always load with the following
"Data Abor...
RESET"
error"
same symptoms as above..I got mine while downloading "Trial" on Handango's site.

Has anyone tried the O/S Load as navi described?
I have so much data on mine, I care about that, and NOT the phone (phone's replaceable)

It appears you have bricked your device. Hope you have made a backup. If not you can try hooking up to DM and see if it will backup your info. If not you have to download your OS for your device and install it on your pc.

Hello Heresy i followd your steps , by steps nothing changed ! can u help me I have one BB 8310 and it's still keep Restartind when its not plugged to the computer its says " Abort Data" Reset ! nothing else can u help me ?
