Hey all,

I am currently using an 8700c that was originally used on the cingular networked and unlocked. I am now using it on Rogers in Toronto. It was working fine for about 3 weeks, and last night, during the middle of a call, the call was dropped and the phone went straight to "Searching for Signal".. I preformed a soft reset with no luck, then a hard reset with no luck. Now all it says is "no signal." Does anyone know what the problem would be or how it could be resolved? Perhaps i need a different OS or something? I'm just confused as to how a call could just drop and no signal be found. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried removing the battery and reseating the sim card? If that doesn't do it I'm guessing the phone is dead.

As a last resort you can try to reinstall the software with 'erase all currently installed applications' checked.

Ahh... thanks for the suggestions, nothing works. I guess the phone is dead then
