I have an 8703e/Verizon BB. I've deleted all messages, cleared the phone log, even logged into my vzw account to delete pictyure messages there, but my email inbox still shows a message (1) before the email address on the main screen, and a message icon shows in the top bar.

It's driving me crazy! Anyone have any idea what I'm missing that needs to be deleted?

Have you tried a battery pull or switching themes

Yes, both pulling the battery for a complete power-down and switching themes. FWIW, I'm using the default VZW theme.

backup your BB then do a wipe then restore it back..thats what i did with mine..
