Can you elaborate on the problem? What happens when someone tries to send you an MMS? What happens if you try to send an MMS? Did it work before? When did it stop working? What changes did you make between it working and it not? Have you tried a battery pull yet? With your phone on, remove the battery for 30 seconds, then put it back in?

I used to have a regular camera phone and could get mms know that I have the 8700c, when someone sends me a pic with text, I just get the text and no pic. I don't even see any spot for mms in my phone.

Ok if I understand this correctly, you just switched to an 8700 and have never gotten MMS to work? Do you have a BlackBerry data plan or a text messaging plan?

Should probably make a called to AT&T. When you call, tell the rep that you want to speak with a BB tech.

if your plan provides mms, then you CAN get multi media messages. i have an 8700 with no camera and i receive mine fine.

for those who have the 8700, when they upgraded to 4.2, there were two mms programs in the phone. u need to delete the one that is not mms 2.0, and it should work fine.

go to options-advanced options-service book- and the one you want to keep is mms config 2.0.

This is T-mobile specific, however suspect it's valid on all carriers. Have similar issue, just got off phone w/T-mobile rep.
When switching from a "regular" phone to a smart phone, you have to call and activate the MMS service with the carrier again. W/T-mobile it's free, you have to activate T-zones and MMS messaging...even though it's free.
    Give your carrier a call.
