Have you thought about buying another cord from verizon? I don't know of any other way to get your info from your PC to your BB. Someone else on here is likely to know more than I - good luck.

why dont you just email it and download the files onto your phone. i do that all the time when im at work and i dont have my cable.

Buying a USB cable at Verizon would be idiotic. Go to Wal-Mart or Target and you won't spend nearly as much. The 8700 is Mini-USB, it is no different than the cable used in 99% of digital cameras.
