I just registered in this site.
    Hi to all.
My bb8703e is one day old and it comes from eBay with the right price.
It is activated and is perfect except the battery indicator.
I installed firmware version 4.2 and I saw the new menu which is better than the old one of the version 4.1
I measured on the battery 4.00 volts and the battery stays for many hours without any problem.
The question is when the battery is full and the green led on BB is on I supposed to have a full battery indication I do not see it except 3 bars instead of 4.
Is it my problem or this software does it .
I will appreciate the help to fix this only problem with the bb8703e.
    Best regards

Try another theme (options > themes) and see of the battery indicator acts better.

    Hi jsanders.
I tried the instructions to the teeth but no luck.
I hope there is some other remedy.

Peter, ... any OEM battery would be good. The ones here and at Siedo are good choices.

    Hi brownieangel23
I checked the status the battery is full 100 per cent.
The glitch is in the Verizon's GUI selection, the Verizon GUI is not working correctly with the v4.2 firmware.
All the other Gui's have the correct full size battery symbol.
I chose a different GUI and the 8703e works perfect.

When I use the verizon theme on the 4.2 firmware it does the same thing. The ZEN theme works fine, and I like it better anyway.
