BlackBerry 8700G (Compose SMS)

Friends,

I need some help with my 8700G , i have recently bought a 8700G , but i am facing a problems that is , when i go into the messages option , i see the compose email option.

But i dont see the compose sms option , nor i can reply to incoming sms , but when i go into settings and sms options , there all the information regarding the messaging server etc is correct , that mean it should work fine.

Then why cant i see the compose sms option??

Can anyone tell me what is the problem and how can it be resolved.

It should be there, unless you have a separate SMS/MMS folder. If you don't see that, you may need to contact your carrier.

When I got my BB off Ebay I couldn't compose SMS either. My problem was there was an IT policy on it that didn't allow SMS. Check to see if you have the same thing. If you do, there is a post somwhere around here that tells you how to install a blank IT policy.

also check options sms and make sure service center is correct and network to send over is correct.
