Hey guys, im completely new at this. I dont live in the US, and yesterday my uncle brought me a blackberry 8700. i dont know which 8700 model it is, but it is the cingular one. it was unlocked prior to coming here. I can make calls and everything. I do have a problem though, the browser does not show up on the blackberry. and the gsm networks here basically use edge with just a TCP APN. I have a data plan but im not sure whether they would be able to activate the blackberry from there. if there is any way to do it manually so that the browser is configured to use the TCP on the EDGE service, please let me know, id appreciate it. THANKS!

I don't think the RIM browser will do that. However, Opera Mini probably would.

Have you tried phoning the providers to find out if vanilla TCP is necessary?
