Hi acitydweller, Welcome to CrackBerry! Let us know what we can do to help.
Me too. I've had mine for about a month, and I wonder how I lived without it for so long ;).
Welcome aboard!
I started with the old school 6700 series and switched to a treo 650 (do not recommend). Finally, the company got us t BB's again and hooked me up with the 8703e, the rest of the crew choose the 7130e. I love the full QWERTY keyboard. Love the 8703e and won't leave home without it. LOL
Glad to have you here, and I agree with you on full QWERTY. My first BB was a 7130e, and that was only because Verizon did not have the 8703e yet. Now, I have the 8800, and like you, I won't leave home without it.
I went from a Blackberry 957, off ebay, to a Alltel Blackberry 8703e in one year.
I wanted a 2-way pager every since the sixth grade. I've been through all kinds of organizers. I finally got a job, and new entrepreneurial opportunities that allowed me to afford a BB and its bills.
I really wanted one because of my favorite business people have them (P.Diddy, Jay-Z, Russell Simmons, Damon Dash).
Having a newer Blackberry model was a dream. I accomplished it before graduating highschool.
I'M IN LOVE!
Congratulations! It seems like you have a good head on your shoulders, and I think you've made a wise investment considering your new job responsibilities.
:D i have one and i love it... but i cant wait until the 88xx series...
...the BB you want, but any BB is a start :D
HEY YA'LL I HAVE THE 8703E AND JUST LOVE IT. I READ MY HARLEQUINS ON IT, HAVE COOKBOOKS ON IT ETC..USR IT FOR MY WORK AS RN CASE MANAGER...NEVER LEAVES MY SIDE. HOW DOES THE BLACKBERRY MESSANGER WORK...WOULD LOVE TO GET INTO THAT!!!:p
Welcome to CrackBerry.com!
BB Messenger works just like most instant messenger programs, but it is between BlackBerrys only. You need to be invited, or invite another user into your list. You can do that via PIN or blackberry.net email address.
Hi!
I have a 8703e myself but don't know how to add custom ringtones to it.
Would you help?
Thanks
I've had my 8703e since Valentines Day this year and from the moment I turned it on, I knew it was going to be invaluable to me. The full qwerty keyboard was a snap to do.
As RIM pointed out to me several times, this model is the most stable and reliable out of all the BB's.
My BB improved my effectiveness at my job, don't need a separate agenda book with all my contacts, don't have to lug my lap top just to address all my clients via email or phone. My BB is used for business and personal: well mostly business for clients, employers, etc....
I had some unsual problems in the beginning but between this forum and RIM I am back on track and the device is running smoothly. I even read the 158 page manual. Now I'm not saying I comprehend everything in the manual but I did make a concerted effort to try to understand what makes this device tick inside and out. The technicians at RIM were impressed with my knowledge and that I actually read the manual but I told them I know nothing at all compared to the guys at crackberry.com forum. I am only an apprentice trying to learn as I go along day by day.
I love my BB..........it's like a portable desktop computer but only smaller, more compact and better!

I've had the 8703e since October of last year (i think?) and I absolutely love it. My provider will be offering the 8800 series in a couple of months, and honestly...I'm not sure if I want to part with this baby!
I have it and love it as well.I use to have the 8700c that was just as nice something about having a full keyboard that fits right in my hands.
