Alerts on 8703e??

Does anybody else have problems with alerts? It seems that half the time when I get a text message, it does not beep. At first I thought I was just zoning out and not hearing it, but then I was parked and waiting for my girlfriend with no music or anything, and I looked down and the LED was flashing, indicating that I had received a message. It had not beeped, and this has happened many many times.

From the home screen select Profiles/Advanced and check all your settings. Most of the time, you can correct the problem by setting alerts of your choice.
