I just recently became a Crackberry user and my life hasnt been better. But I feel like I might have jumped in with the wrong piece of hardware. I have the 8700g which I lovedue to the click wheel on the side of the device. Having been a previous Sidekick user(which I am ashmed to admit) I didnty like the newer BB's with the rollerball that they come with now. Should I have gotten anewer model or am I still ok with the model I have. Please help me out.

The trackball is awsome. I would have gone with the curve if I were you. Welcome to CB.

Trackball is awesome, as well as future OS upgrades may not include the 87xx's.

Welcome to CB. Nothing wrong with the 8700. I started with the trackwheel and I doubted I would change. Now I have the 8830 and I am considering the curve when verizon comes out with it. You will find it has nothing to do with the track wheel as it does with the other offferings of the newer models.

I still have my 8700g and I love it this is my 2nd blackberry I was playing with a pearl and it was strange because I went to go click a trackwheel that wasn't there lol. But I long for the curve still trying to get my boyfriend to buy me one I need a camera and the micro sd slot for extra memory.

Any BB is a good but the Curve is a good choice. It's not too big, fits well in the palm for easy typing, & the trackball isn't as bad as you think - it's rather convenient & easy to use.

I just got a 7800g this week as a free upgrade. Inc unlimited data. I knew what a BB was but had never had one. My only regreat is that the 8700 seems to be a more business BB with none of the nice stuff like a memory card slot or video.

I will make sure my next one will no capable of this and will probably give this one to the wife

Welcome to the addiction! I think you shouldve went with the curve as it is very media friendly and sized very nicely. Also the trackball is pretty straigt forward and I think its great for navigating menus and webpages.

I had an 8700R a few years back. It was good, but I would of recommended a curve or a pearl. If you want small, pearl. If you want full keyboard, curve.
