8707v 3g compatibility...part 2

so some time ago i posted up and asked whether the European 8707v would be compatible US 3g and we discovered it wasn't...at the time.

according to gsmarena.com the 8707v 3g's radio is UMTS 2100

now that would definitely not be compatible with AT&T but T-mobile is deploying 3g HSDPA/UMTS network on 1700/2100 bands

would this allow T-mobile users to use the 8707v?

sorry I'm a die hard 87xx fan...I think the trackball is pretty crappy and the size of the 87xx is perfect
