I'm new to the PDA world... looking at the 8703e on VZW. I like using my phones to the fullest, currently have a hacked V710 to do a whole lot more than....well more than its supposed to.. . After looking at all the addon apps for the BB, and the lack of an expansion card, I can't help but wonder..is 64mb enough space??? Anyone run out?

I recieve my Voicemails via mp3 in my e-mail box.. this will take up some space I guess.... thats one of the reasons why I ask..

Umm... I don't know if it's network provider dependant but the 8700 cant recieve mp3's via email! I mean it tells you you have an mp3 attachment but you cant listen to it on my BB...
I know thats not answering your question but i thought you might like to know.

Easiest would prob be to host them somewhere and then download them....I had the same issue and got round it...

I find there to be plenty of room for what I use it for, I keep watch on themes and uninstall what I don't use, do regular backups, but then again I do not do mp3's on the BB....couple select ringtones but again, I only have on what I use and it helps keep the storage down. If I want to try a few more themes, I simply uninstall what I don't need at the time. (not sure if that helped answer your question tres).

i've got too many mms/sms and emails to count and i've still got 33mb of free space..

in addition unlike normal pdas you can get it to delete mesaages after 30/60 or 90 days....

Myself as well, I have it set to auto delete after 60 days. Plus I have numerous themes, additional ringtones, etc...and I still have 38mg free.

64MB should be plenty for what the 8700 can do. If you want/need more space you can do what I have done. Go to options advanced options then applications. Delete all unused lang programs, brickbreaker, help, and anything you do not use. I even deleted memo pad because I never used it. I run about 39 to 40 MB.

I replaced it with backgammon. I'm a backgammon freak. I made my own board. But you can still delete a lot things that aren't being used to fee up space.

Yes, it is enough space. Get an IPod for your mp3s, get a high MP camera for your photos, get a PSP or DS. This is a phone/PDA... use it for what it's good at, because it sure isn't good at anything else. :P At least, not compared to these other things.
