My brother and his missus have been offered a free 7130 each locked to O2 UK and I was wondering if it was worth them getting them. They're a bit outdated now and if they get the right plan they can get a Pearl-20 each for free but they aren't exactly heavy email and web users. Yet. Can they be unlocked for free 'cause if not it might be better just to get the P20s and then they'll get the 4.5 update.
Whats the deal on 'em? I know the Pearl is better, that's obv. but it might be easier to get a cheap plan +data without the BB as neither of them have a great deal of money to part with for a phone.
He just asked "does it come in blue" lol. Does it? what about pink?
If your brother & his wife want to go ahead with the free 7130's they should be able to get a simplicity Sim and add on a Blackberry Tariff for 10. The simplicity sim's start at 15 for 200 mins & 200 texts.
O2's 8120 is free on all voice tariff's then a BB tariff has to be added. The o2 shop currently does the 8120 in blue but other colours are availabe from Carephone warehouse.
o2 is shortly to bring out the pink 8110 but the tariff prices are not yet listed. There will also be a blue one.
The 8120 has wifi and the 8110 has GPS.
I doubt that o2 would give out the unlock code unless your brother & his wife have been customers of o2 for a while.
If your brother & his wife are unlikely to be using the web or email much whay not have a look at T Mobile's packages - for the 8110 (with GPS). They have just brought out a 5 email plan.
Wales beat Ireland 16 -12! Scotland currently beating England 9 - 3, second half just starting!
