I have owned a 7105t for 15/16 months now .It is a tank. I have abused it more than it has abused my relationship with my Fiance'

I believe that the 7130 series of phones are the best. I dont like the look of the 7100, but the 7105 is a nice phone

I had a 7130e and it was a good solid device. I would agree that out of the 71xx series, the 7130 is probably the best.

It's a Push-to-talk feature on Nextel. Unlocked phones won't work as Nextel uses the iDen network and not GSM.

See no disrepect but that is such an "American" thing - Push to Talk. I know alot of phones have them here but no one ever bothers here....

I can now see why that might be an issue though.

I guess what you consider the best all depends on what device has the features to meet your needs. For you, looks like the 7100i is the only one that can meet your needs with direct connect. Not sure how much longer it will be around since Sprint merged with Nextel, but I heard Sprint is working on deploying a similar service.

Surely with the amount of BBs coming soon, a new one might be available...?

If I didn't have a 8700, 8100, Nokia 6682 or MPx220, I would most certainly would have kept my 7105t! It was solid as a rock, period!

ps: I hate any push-to-talk device / service. I think it's an invasion of privacy. Not necessarily for the person receiving the call / beeps, but people around them at the time...

I remember when I first landed in Atlanta. I was getting on the 'little train' that takes you to the main terminal, and some guy had a push-to-talk device. His wife wanted to know what he wanted for dinner, and if they could go to the mall later...

Like hell do I want to listen to all that!

I have 7105t and Pearl sitting in front of me... Be honest I like 7105t better and wish I has full BT enabled and some other Pearl furtures except camera.. It is sitting in my palm much better than smaller 8100 and has normal SIM holder But...unfortunately I have to sell it soon... I still can't understand RIM's philosophy concerning limited BT.. they lost bunch of customers who need to use pnone as modem for laptop...

I got a 7100i from ebay. I'm a police officer and I HAVE to have the Nextel "direct connect" feature for work. I love this damned thing!! I can't stay off of it. I had the old used 7520 for about 3 days, and it blew up. So this is technically my first blackberry. I'm a fast learner, but I know there is a lot I still have to learn... But I can't go back to a regular phone again.
