I recently bought the 7100i simply because Nextel has ugly phones and I was tired of the flippin...

I only have regular service, as in no internet, txt messaging, etc. (I plan to upgrade some time later on).

If I don't have these services, will this phone make me encounter any extra charges? Fairly new to this phone, don't know what to expect. Don't want to be greeted with an extra load on the phone bill.

Any way of making sure my phone doesn't access features I don't have yet?

    Thank you.

I also have the 7100i, but I use the Simply Everything Plan (SEP). I am also a Nextel customer. Did they allow you to add your blackberry with no data services? If you don't have a data plan, then you won't be able to use any of the services. If you have a data plan, be careful of going over if you don't have unlimited. I purchased the cheapest plan when I first started, and I had to pay an extra $60 for going over data amount. Now with this new plan, everything is unlimited. I hope this helps, and good luck.
