I have a Z30 that updated to the latest OS weeks ago and a Z30 and a Z10 that will not update. The two devices that will not update had cracked screens that I replaced.
In the CTV news was an article stating that if you had an apple product and changed the screen and if it wasn't done at an Apple facility the next time the OS updated you got an error 53 and the update failed.
Does BlackBerry have the same policy ie will not update but does not show an error?

So are the Z10 and both Z30s factory unlocked?

They are all unlocked but not factory by imputed code. The last update wasn't a problem.

So the working Z30 wasn't factory unlocked but still received 2876?

You could always try manually loading (Blitz or autoloader, your pick) 2876.

I will probably do that since these are back-up phones and once the autoloader is through copy the back up from the good Z30 to the other Z30.

Maybe the OS update checks for "Device Integrity" and detects a non-OEM screen!

That's just an assumption.. don't know what may be the actual reason..

Mine neither, however I'm not concerned because there is a significant bug in the latest update with regard to the Android runtime. I'm personally going to wait till that's all straightened out before anymore updates. 2474 is working fine for me as it is.

And that may be the problem. They may have discovered the bug after the release and withdrew the release until a patch or new release is ready. I think that I will hold off on the download.
