Could an email with an attachment cause me to get a virus on my Z30 if I opened the attachment?

No Windows virus can infect your Z30. Try to reboot your phone and open said email again. The attachment may very well be the problem but it's most probably not because of a virus

I would think the virus would have to be written to infect the bb10 os. I assume this is unlikely, but I'm no expert. Just my two cents. Did you try a restart?

Probably best to just do a secure wipe just to be sure.
