I would assume the same way as a non verizon model. Just make sure you say it's that model for the code. What carrier are you going to? I'm thinking about getting a big red z30 for wireless charging but haven't done my research to see if I get lte or not

What do you mean? Do you want to use the phone on Verizon Wireless or are you trying to take the phone to another carrier?

Verizon z10's are cdma so your posts do not make sense.

Search here or on the Internet and you will see what cdma and gsm bands the stl-4 is capable of. I know the info is out there because I saw it last summer .
Pretty sure that all cdma bands are the same though.

I'm in the US on Verizon. STL100-4, Z10...purchased from brick and mortar Verizon store. Came unlocked out of the box.

If the bands are compatible, and you are able to convince your carrier to take the phone... then yes, theory it's possible.

But I have never seen a CDMA carrier accept "outside" phones

I think you'll only see CDMA selection once your carrier accepted your phone on their network. You can't just choose a CDMA network
