I quickly made this from a screen capture on my SD. The hub looked so much more professional back then, so did most of the UI, IMO. There really wasn't any need to introduce the over-sized 'Compose' button.

I0.2.1 was the highlight of the BB10 experience, for me. I've said before that I would like to see a future update introduce the UI's through means of being able to apply themes to the OS. However I don't really expect much in the form of features. I don't expect, so therefore I won't be let-down.

Disclaimer: I've only put this out here to spark up a discussion about old hub style and new. There are plenty other threads to have a Doom and Gloom party in, in regards to BB10's future.

10.2.1 was my favorite too. I loved how tiny you can make chat bubbles with it in BBM on the Q10. 10.3.2 is ugly blocky bubbles in bbm.

I'm still using 10.2 on Z10 since Tmobile has not pushed 10.3 to the Z10.

    Yup, I prefer 10.2.1 Hub.

Having said that, I think I prefer the smaller icons in 10.3.

The blue ui in 10.2.1 was not pretty, but it was very functional.

I can see where you're coming from but I definitely disagree. The 10.3 style is absolutely gorgeous.

I'm still on 10.2.1 with my Q10 and agree with the OP. The only thing that I wish it was on 10.2 is the upgraded android runtime (size adjustments and etc.) and I wish those ugly grey boxes weren't there, to overcome this I mostly use dark wallpapers. But I gotta admit if had a full touch screen phone I'd use the latest version.

Why don't you update? It's such an improvement.

    1. The fact that I may want to downgrade to 10.2
    2. Hub runs more effectively on this version.
    3. Wifi is better than 10.3.1 (i tried it when it was first published.)
Actually I'm looking for the latest 10.3.1 just to give it a second try, but can't find a working autoloader.

I understand sticking with what's familiar, but it's borderline delusional to think 10.2 is superior.

As I said, I compared 10.2.1 and 3.1. I don't know much about the latest.

Weren't the "instant actions" introduced in 10.3? If so, there is no possibly way that I could go back to an earlier version.

The UI is what it is, they could change it however they wanted and I would get used to it. Functionality though, has continued to improve and I wouldn't go back if it meant losing that.

It would always be nice to see some room for customization of the UI, even if that were just the highlight colours or whatever possible. However, there really isn't anything I miss about the older builds. With the legacy OS, I do remember downgrading my 9700 to a lower OS which seemed most optimized for that device but with the current OS, I haven't found any reason to go back. The latest Android glitch is a bit of a trouble but it's quite easily fixed by installing the older bar files.

I love 10.3.2 and its Hub better. I do wish they kept the old icon for the menu on the left though, instead of that stupid hamburger icon.

I'm running Z30STA100-3/10.2.1.3289 since it's the best. Hate the new UI.

Instant actions are on this OS.
