I'm trying to upload a video to my youtube account from my Q5 running 10.1 MR.

I have clicked the video and then clicked share to youtube. I have been asked to login. I entered my details and am then asked to accept youtube uploader for bb10. When I click accept I am then given the screen as below.

Which app do I need to paste this code into?

    Weird.

I just tested on 10.2 and the Share->YouTube works as expected and I don't get the prompt as you do.

    Is your 10.1 MR = 10.1.0.4181?

At a guess, I'd say that it was the YouTube app. That would be the obvious choice.
Before attempting to upload a video, make sure you are signed in to YouTube.

Jpvj - yes it is Mr 4181.

Sign in to youtube? Did I miss something elsewhere in the OS? After clicking share I am prompted to sign in. I enter my details as stated above and then get the screen telling me to copy that code to the app, yet as I'm aware, I'm already in the app???

I've just done it, no problem. I didn't have to open the YouTube app at all. Just recorded vid and hit share, selected YouTube, signed in to Google and done. Tbh, it looks like some sort of Google two step authentication on your screen.

Although I don't think it's got anything to do with it, check the parental controls on your Q5 to make sure all permissions are enabled, just a long shot.

I have this exact same problem!

Let's see if we can find a common factor. Is your youtube account linked to your Google apps account? Or a Gmail account?

The only thing that I could figure out is that youtube is linked to my Google apps account so I get this weird verification link.

I'm also using a q10 10.1 MR on tmobile. I've had this problem since I purchased the phone several months ago.

Yeah, let's nail this. I've got no problem on my Z10STL100-2 so here's my setup: I'm running 10.1MR, have a Gmail account on the phone and have parental controls all set to permit. This looks like Google two step authentication but not sure. Also operating on WiFi at the moment.

If it helps, I have a Verizon Z10 (STL100-4) running 10.1 MR, have a Gmail account (not Google Apps), do NOT have two-factor authentication enabled on that account...and I did NOT run into this problem when I first uploaded to YouTube.

Google apps account here, not a Gmail account.

Where is 2 step authentication? Is that on the phone or on google?

I don't have 2 step authentication but it is something that Google implemented. I believe it can be disabled but it is not something I've run into personally. Are you able to get your Gmail account set up on your phone? Even if you don't use Gmail, it may help with your problem. I don't use Google + and don't have a Google apps account. Can you explain what a Google Apps account is? I'm certain that the problem is coming from the different way in which you access Google services. Also, are you using any paid services from Google?

My YouTube account is linked to my Gmail account. I'm fairly sure that the issue is arising from linking to Google apps account rather than just Gmail.

Thanks for replying Kris. Just trying to establish what the problem is here in uploading a video. Does it look like he's using an app to upload? As I said, I'm not having a problem but I've never seen this before.

    Hi Kris,

From within the baked in videos app or the baked in file manager, I press and hold the desired video and from the overflow menu that appears I click share. From that list I then choose youtube.

I am not using any addon app for this.

Gmail is a standard account which gives you email, calendar etc.

Google apps is the corporate version which allows me to manage my domain via google instead.

Has to be the security on your account than, cause I just tried and had no issue

I think it's the fact that we're using Google apps and not a standard Gmail account. Thats the only common factor here between me and OP that are having the problems.

I'm not even sure where to look to turn off two factor authentication, if that is causing this issue.

I'm having the same problem. I managed to get it to work a few OS leaks ago, but I can't remember what I did differently to get it to work.

I use Google apps, with two-factor auth.

I have parental controls on, but I am allowing uploads to youtube.

This "paste to app" string looks an awful lot like an OAuth key.

If you were using two-step you'd know it. Are you needing to enter a six digit code from a keyfob or authenticator app everytime you login?

Nope, not having to enter any six digit codes. I have also been looking around in the settings for my domain under google apps but as yet haven't found anything.

My youtube account works on the web, says administered by subjectline.ca (my domain). Will look into this further and test with a plain gmail account.
