When you build a brand you need ambassadors, people who will support you and will promote your products for free, in a sincere and honest way. PR is not easy a task to accomplish and there are no better PR for a company than its fans. If you get enough of those, you will make it. I felt curious about how committed BB fans are, that's way I included the Q1 cut off.

No reason really, just out of curiosity. Most people are excited about BB10, but wanted to ask whether they are actually getting one at launch. I know this is a fan site, and I would like to know how many of the 80 million BB users all over the world are actual fans.
I do not see many queues on launching day, but I think BB10 is going to do pretty well, looks like RIM guys have been securing a business base that can help. Right pricing, good communications strategy, trade in programs and of course, an excellent product should do the rest.
Edit: BTW, just read BB has 30million social media fans!

I'm going to try to hold out for the Aristo. I may not be able to contain myself and wind up with both the Z10 and Aristo. Right now it's up to AT&T. My 9700 with BBOS 6 is very long in the tooth but is still rock solid.

For one thing, I bought my 9900 on a 3-year contract just after it was released, and I'd like to get a little more use out of it...and also some credit toward an upgrade [2 years in August].

Secondly...I got over the excitement of being on the bleeding edge a couple of decades ago. I'm sure BB10 will have some hiccups when it's rolled out to the public, and I can wait to see them get ironed out first.
