Is this the year where a spike of people start upgrading?

How many people do you think still use BBOS 7 devices? Whenever I hear stats, it always seems like a lot.

I got my 9900 the first week of release. That was just over 3 years ago. I had a 3 year contract with Telus. But, last year I cut it short and upgraded to the Z30. Happy I did, but it always left me wondering what would be released around the time of my upgrade eligibility. With Passport out, and Classic coming soon, it's a good time for those die hard 9900 users to upgrade.

But, am I mistaken, and have most people who had 9900s already upgraded? Or should BlackBerry see a nice bump in sales this Fall?

BlackBerry will see a bump up in sales if they release a phone that people want. As for the 99xx people, they (as a group) generally LOVE their phone. but i am willing to bet a lot of them are waiting for a Z30 successor.....all-touch. Like I am!

A couple of friends with 9900 upgraded to Z10 recently, so yeah, such users are making their way to the BlackBerry 10 somehow.

Honestly if I didn't get my Q10 free I'd have waited until the Classic came out coming from my 9900.
