No problem if you are using different sim or wifi. If your device is unlocked and does not depend on sim, you are ready to receive BlackBerry global update. Check your device status in setting ->security & privacy -> sim card.

True! In India no carrier issue, All Blackberry devices are already unlocked / carrier independent. We all should get updated same time but what's happening is unexpected. OPs should mention is their device is white list or not!!

Have a look at screen shot for signals and yes, mobilink has good voice quality. You should give a try to this.
