I'm checking MMS messages and close that out and go to the home screen and there's an extra part of my banner at the top of my screen with the date and day of week. I noticed it and opened up my settings to try and look into it and when I got back to the home screen, it was gone. Wierd!!! What's up with that?

Yeah I've noticed that as well. Can't seem to figure out when it shows up or disappears - seems completely random. Happens after some actions sometimes, but not other times. Bizarre.

I kind of wish it was part of the OS. Nice to have the date/day.

I think it's supposed to show when you have no signal or have just connected to the network or just roamed over it something to make you aware, but it does occasionally show for non reason so I guess it's a bug.

I saw that once on my Z10 but not on the Q yet. I would love to have it there all the time.

Hey- I just noticed that banner is part of the screen that drops down when you drag the settings down (swipe down from the top). I guess everyone else realized this already, but I just noticed it.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I've been able to replicate this on my Z10.

Go into the hub. Bring the quick settings down from the top. Flip the phone horizontally while the settings are still showing and then flip back to portrait. Now when you leave the hub the bar will show on the main screen and app launcher screens.
