Old call screen isn't coming back and blackberry confirmed it. They went to the new call screen to be standardized like every other phones call screen.

Remember kiss some people are a little slow to change. The new screen is one less issue for the confused..

Didn't realize there was a topic limit to what people are allowed to post. I have many accounts on different forums and this quite common. Clearly there is a good percentage of people on this forum who don't like the new call screen. Keep it up guys... maybe this will make it's way back to BB an we will get an option in 10.3

Hopefully not.. and there isn't a topic limit but there's common sense.. it there's 100's of the same topics it makes it difficult for people especially newer people to find info cause they have to look through a bunch of threads.

This is exactly why I created the poll. Rather than having numerous threads about this topic, why not put it to a vote and see what people want? One thread, one poll, one final result..... Is it that confusing for you?

New style is better. However I wish there was another dot in the middle that you slide up and it answers in call speaker. That would be ideal while the blackberry is sitting on desk or table.

Having the option to switch the style of call screen just seems like too much. It's not one of those things that NEEDS to be personalized such as background or the option to turn certain things on/off. I think it would be a waste of time (and not to mention system memory) for the BlackBerry team to include two different call screens. It's almost like giving someone the option to completely change the look and feel of the home screen beyond reorganization of apps and wallpaper. It's one of those things where it's like, "no, this is the way the phone works so just get used to it."

Of the two I have a slight preference for the old.
This however is probably because I'd been using it for nearly a year before the change, that and also I liked the way it was distinctly different from Android. I can visualise the old screen it was very distinctive.

My gripe, whatever the call screen looks like...
on a Q device I'd like the option to use the keyboard to answer/hang up.
I don't see this as a big ask.
My preference would be double tap space bar to answer, double tap to hang up but to be honest I'm not fussy any keyed method that can be achieved without having to bother looking at a screen would do

No need for any options, at first I was against the change because it wasn't that bad so they put it that high on the priorities list... but now I think it's okay.. it's just a call screen..

There shouldn't be any options to ensure uniformity...

I think the new way is better for new users. When my friend got a Q10 about a month ago I had to show him how to answer and the swipes up/down on the Z10 are pretty long and I imagine the Z30 was the reason they changed to the new way. I say leave it alone and people will eventually forget the old way.

No. Before they add an option for which way to swipe, I want BlackBerry to fix Contacts. Some contacts that I link to BBM still show "Invite to BBM". Not every phone number can be sent a text message. And so on.

What would be cool is a a quick ignore button to forego the entire swipe. Can't tell you how many times I've accidentally answered a call that I intended to ignore lol

If you like BlackBerry you should hope they don't waste resources on such a trivial thing.

I actually like the newer way of answering calls. The other way wasn't bad, but I'd sometimes reject the call by accident, which frustrated me (also, I don't get phone calls very often, so when employers of companies and such call, I grab the phone to try and answer and sometimes I wouldn't swipe down hard enough, etc.). I like the ease of sliding my finger one way or the other.

But having a choice between the two would be nice, especially if many BB10 users are missing the former method.

The new call screen looks a bit cartoony to me... doesn't look professional like the previous one. It would be great to have the option to choose between cartoon and professional mode.
