We are swapping some phones at work. I have a Q10 that was being used by a staff member no longer with us that I want to assign to someone. I can't seem to wipe it and start fresh because it wants the old BBID and password. Is there a way around this?

I think if you turn off BlackBerry protect on the phone before hand and also go to the website and remove the phone from the devices list you can assign a new BBID on it.

Edit: you'll need to old BBID password to turn off protect though.

If the phone is running an OS older than 10.3.2 you will be able to simply install a new OS on the phone. If it's running 10.3.2 then that will render your phone a paperweight.
