This Might Be A Unpopular Opinion But Things Are Technically Similar.. And With The Windows 10 Technical Preview.. Things Are Getting More Same.. Watch Out For This!

The only thing I've seen similar is the Task Switcher and Settings menu

Can you elaborate? From what I see, the grand conference is coming. All apps seem to be traveling towards a iOS and android mashup , at least from a nav standpoint.

From an oS i don't know Wp that well so still see iOS being terribly inefficient and android being hard to navigate

Actually it looks like Windows Phone 10 will be shifting away from the current design to a more iOS/Android style layout with menu buttons and other functions way out of reach up at the top of the screen. Former Windows Phone designer defends Windows 10's big, controversial changes | PCWorld

Windows Phone was my backup plan if BB10 took a dive but now I don't know what I could use. Hear that, BlackBerry? Don't change the UI too much!

Just my 2c worth, but I had a Lumia 830 for a few weeks there while I waited for a replacement Z30. As far as I can see, there are superficial similarities in the settings and one or two other areas. That's where similarities end though - the flow between tasks in Lumia Denim is poor, and makes the phone awkward to use, at best. The camera is amazing, and there are loads of apps, but the 'notification area' is not much improved from previous Windows Phone 8. I don't receive a massive volume of messages or alerts daily, and found it impossible to keep on top of things. If you are using BlackBerry Hub just now, you will struggle to adjust to WP. Not sure that W10 for phones will address these shortcomings.
