I used windows live messenger but then decided to remove it. The app is now removed but I still see the entry in the hub. When I go into the settings it tells me that I need to remove the app in order to remove the hub entry. The app is already removed.

Any idea on how this can be fixed?

Try resetting the Hub by five quick swipes at the top corner. Hope this helps

Go into your "Accounts" section in Settings and remove the Windows Messenger account.

Restarted the hub. No difference. The icon is still there...

Done. It says that in order to remove it from the hub, I need to uninstall the app - which I already have...

Go into BlackBerry world, then click All in lower left corner.

Then click "My World" > "My apps and games"

At the top, select "Downloaded" from the list.

If you see the app (that was supposed to have been uninstalled) in this list, then long-press on it, and select the garbage icon from righthand menu.

    This should fully delete it.

Turn off with power button, turn on again and continue to hold it down for 45 seconds through the boot sequence. That should take care of it.

Just to update : nothing helped until I installed 10.2. After that, installed live messenger and then removed the app. The entry in the hub is now gone.
