Reading threads on here, I know it's all speculation, but looking at trends and the new slider possibly being android, do you guys think there will ever even be any major updates like a 10.4 in the future? It feels weird right now, when I use my Z30, almost like it's O.S. has already been put out to pasture.

I don't want to know about 10.4, I'm wondering you guys' thoughts on how 10.4 would be a major step, I wonder if O.S. 10 is heading that way, or if 10.3 is probably 'it'. You guys are saying in other threads the developer area and hacks have been really quiet.

Again, it's all guessing, but to me, if the rumors are close, it kinda looks like BB is doing just a little developing on OS10 and going to test the waters with a droidBB, I bet it that fails, they will go minimal OS10 and fade that out and just be software

It will just be 10.3.2 with the runtime stripped from it.

I think they may still work one some updates for their corporate fleet, so we may potentially see a 10.3.4, but it will be very minor things.

Eventually even their corporate partners will get android devices and they will simply eol all bb10

There will not be a 10.4. BlackBerry will only create fixes and security updates for BlackBerry 10. They have stopped future work on new features for BlackBerry 10. The proof?

If they were planning new features for BlackBerry 10, they would have to give preview access for developers. Since it takes months to release a major update, and they give developers access for months to test the new release, having no road map means the road is a dead end.

Prove these points wrong.

* After three years of road map for new features of BlackBerry 10, they stopped providing a road map for developers. If they added something to the road map this month, it will be 6-9 months before anything is released. That means the platform will be stagnate for almost 18 months which you cannot do in the fast moving software world.
* They have also posted that developers should supporting other platforms.
* They officially stopped supporting Qt5 for the BlackBerry 10 platform but are supporting it for QNX. You can't move BlackBerry 10 platform forward when a major component of isn't being supported.
* They also laid off the developers of the UX for BlackBerry 10.
* You can also see in the jobs that they are offering, nothing to do with BB10, everything to do with QNX.

BB10 has left the building. Let's see what will happen if BB10 is not longer supported. BB10 devices will have no apps other than those that came with the OS. BBM will stop working.

I just looked at the link provided in post# 13. It looks like someone may have taken down the TBD status which showed 'dead end'.

Quite curious the wording was removed. (I see what happened)

Also curious is it only shows 10.3.1 development, not 10.3.2 as is currently released.

that's what bothers me, they don't give us a direction, something to look forward to. In all honesty, the way my Z30 works right now on 10.3 is NOT even close to good enough. Besides the hardware's lack of call volume, the OS just isn't good enough yet, and if this is it then it's 'in the drawer' time for it. I know people complain about android and IOS, but when you use a current device like that and get used to all the features, then when I used my Z30, it's like going from HDtv over satelite to a 1980's TV with an antenna.

What exactly is OS 10 if not software? Everyone keeps thinking gloom and doom because they are pivoting to focus more on software but QNX and OS10 are just that software.
