That really sucks then. Upgrading to 10.3.3 only improves your browser and adds extra xxxxx bugs.

Did you run an autoloader for a clean install? That usually clears up 99% of the issues on 10.3.3.

If you know the situation.... why are you asking?

No BlackBerry hasn't clearly said anything. But being they aren't upgrading phones from last year.... that use an OS that requires very little work on their part. It's doubtful they are going to do anything for BB10... end of 2016 was when Chen said the last update would come.

Need and want are two different things. You need food, water and air. You want BB10.3.4.

To quote Mick Jagger, you can't always get what you want.

I believe that OS 10 is still used by some important customers, so it would defy belief for BlackBerry not to close up any glaring security holes - UNLESS they provide a custom fix only for government customers who specifically pay for it, much like how custom support with Microsoft works.

What governments are still using it? Germany? Canada, I guess?

A BB10 OS update is an update for all BB10 phones. Just have to use the right autoloader or blitz file from that post for the Classic.

Except for the Texas Instruments variant of the Z10 (STL100-1). That model got left behind with 10.3.3 and is not supproted anymore.

The Q2 2018 earnings report says that BlackBerry has 'an allocation of revenue relating to service obligations and unspecified future software upgrades associated with BlackBerry 10 devices'. What does that mean? Do they have support agreements with a handful of customers to support BB10? If so, why don't they just release patches to those customers instead of rolling out software updates to everyone?

First time hearing of this. Would be interested to hear what those "in the know" know!

Regardless, my replacement K1 comes today, so onward for me.
