I just listened to the BlackBerry podcast and I heard Adam mentioned that if you put a Rogers sim in a Verizon phone, it will let you download/install the 10.2 update. Is that true? If so, will it work ok even though the carriers are so different? I don't want to compromise my service or anything.

Yes, it will work with no problems, other than you'll get some rogers apps.

Although I'm speaking from experience with rogers and t-mobile, so I don't know about the radio files (if they're part of the update or not).

I loaded the Rogers 10.2.0.1791 on my VZW Q10 via sachesi method and the radio seems to be working fine. I will be interested to know if the Rogers sim trick works for OTA update, please keep us posted.

I tried using my Rogers sim in my friends Verizon Z10 to get the 10.1 update in the spring and it didn't work. Installing from a pc with autoloader worked fine.
