Hey guys, Josh here. I was wondering if there is a way to get BlackBerry Link (running on a virtual version of Windows XP on VMWare) to detect my BlackBerry Q5 on it.

    Here's where I'm stuck at.

Will BlackBerry Link work on VMWare Player (Running Fedora 20)-xvig18h.jpg

And I forgot to edit out my name. Oh well. I get random emails anyway.

Is the device connected to the VMware player? There's a button to connect USB devices at the bottom right tray.

I'm interested in your results. By the way, do you like Fedora 20? I really have not used the distribution much since v 14.

Curious why xp? Check direct USB connection not a hub and route connection go the VM host os as previously mentioned.
PS I hate how we cannot open or zoom into picks on CB10.

    ? BlackBerry Z30 ? If it Don't Make Dollars, It don't Make Sense ?

I've connected it, but I do not see an option for the device anywhere.

So far I like it. I've been using Ubuntu for years. Gonna take me time getting used to it.

I chose XP becaue my device is a dual core laptop with 4 gigs of ram. I don't know how fast Windows 7 or 8.1 would run on it.

It's only seeing it as a network connection on XP and not as a driver.

And my network was originally NAT, but then I chose bridge in the end.

If you go to Settings > Storage > USB Connection to Windows, does Fedora notice the device?
