Do this native? (weather, clock, location)

    I really miss that .

Active frames are cool.. but I would love to give up my frames or move them to a second window.

    So
    0. Hub
    1. Widgets
    2. Active frames
    3. Apps

Or frames under the widgets but maybe that gets to much

Will BlackBerry ever be able to do home screen widgets?-img_00000797.png

    I`m not surprised, that your swedish PIN contains A B B A in a encrypted way.... :-)

BTW-I hate active frames- it looks so untidy....

Well I hate android because I like the swiping on BlackBerry 10

What I don't like on android

    - menu
    - settings
    - quick access menu
    - speed
    - play store
    - unlock screen
    - notifications
    -- a lot more

So a combination would be nice yes

I guess it'd be okay. But if they were to invite widgets, there may need to be a good sized GUI rewrite/ change.

I can see the point in widgets in an android os... because it is the closest you get to our experience.

That being said: how would you use them and which ones would be of interest to you?

What if you could just pin selected active frames in one spot?

I heard apple can do this at the bottom of the screen.

    Huh? Active frames are untidy?

I'm much more inclined to say widgets are more untidy. Active frame content is kept within the boundaries of the active frame, which is then laid out in a nice grid.

Widgets see all sorts of content spilling out of the visible widget boundary - just look at the tops of the date cards sticking up out of the widget's "main" boundary.

Asmooh, are you running a fever? You said something nice about Android! Who stole your account?

Seriously, widgets are nifty to have.

    LOL at ABBA joke.

I agree with you in context of organisation and display of the active frames! Its made well... But I hate active frames in general cause I didnt use them and they are still disturbing (OS10.1)... I use wallpaperchanger and Bebuzz constantly. So I dislike the need to keep the apps open with an active frame which is normaly useless so far. The active frames are useful for apps which are in use in intervals (Messenger f.e.) But to open a messenger (f.e.) I use the hub cause the "wipe" with the thumb is much quicker than to scroll to the right, (perhaps another scroll down) and click on an active frame...
I prefer to keep apps closed cause of two three reasons:
    1. I prefer to start (after unlock my device) with the FIRST side of PREFERED icons.
    2. I want to spare my battery
    3. The most appearing apps (in MY usage) appearing in the AWESOME hub!

In understand the awesome idea of active frames and they could be useful for some people with the tendecy of quick switchings.., but for me there is no need for another screen (preceding the FIRST one) with active frames...

I hope 10.2 offers the long-time-waited possibility for headless apps- I hate to see two ugly active frames in front of my beloved wallpaper!
    :-)
