I really think that this would help a lot. A serious of short advertisements on the actually operating system and on how it 'Gets Things Done' would do something to combat the ignorance regarding the new BlackBerry, and would make people curious, without actually focusing on the hardware. Any chance of something like this happening? I doubt it, but it would be nice...

Whatever they do, they need to focus on brand perception. So many people think BlackBerry is bankrupt, won't be around in a year, etc, etc. This needs to change if they expect to sell anything.

Thats right. The zombie and iSheeples really soak up what the media is selling them. instead of doing their own research or hell, visiting the Blackberry Website, they believe the negative news.

BlackBerry could use this for their favor and make a funny Samsung-like campaign. Two BB devices and a claim like "They really thought we're dead" and laughter at the end. Cut. Next scene showing the core highlights at a glance with a POWER voice.

Hey, where the hell was Samsung 10 years ago??? How did they pull this up? They invest huge in marketing and their commercials are all over. This keeps in mind. BB should get some aggressive marketing heads from these agencies and act!

This is what BlackBerry should be doing. Hub, file manager, Storymaker, blackberry express etc

Advertising the OS features from a specific phone would be nice. But not just the OS. People buy phones and can grasp how phones work. OS's not so much.

Obviously they would have to show the Z30 or something in the ad, but I think it would be great to focus on the actual OS, so that people can see its strengths.

That's their focus for now. This can change quickly depending how their plans go.

Sure. I can't see them doing much advertising right now. If they ever enter the consumer market again then they better.

That's a large part of what the Foxconn deal will do. BlackBerry won't carry the inventory on their books anymore and That inventory is what they have been writing down. So once that's off books they should break even or spin a profit. Should be interesting year or two.

Would be nice if they advertised the phone but focused on the features. The out-the-box features of the os can shine on there own and show people what BlackBerry phones are capable of. It's like a thread I posted them other day with a feature comparison between bb10.2.1 and ios 7.(standard mobile features).
