I haven't heard any mention of it. I really want the CNN, Engadget and a few other apps.

That is the plan. I don't think it will run anything the pb does not.

i think the hope is that more companies and developers will hop on board with bb10 so that it wont even need android apps

BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha already runs Android apps. And it is 100% definite that the consumer devices will.

Yes and RIM's improving the Android Run Times as well (as seen in future OS2.1 for the PlayBook)...

It will but i think it will become less and less used as more and more native apps come to appworld. Its already happening with PB.

Should be able to without any problems. I can run them on the PlayBook now with no issues. I. Think BB10 will make BlackBerry more marketable with this feature.

Just to clarify, BB10 can run Android apps that the developer has converted to run on BB10

Thank you Neilmann -I discover this very late...
Among others this means any presently sideloaded app will die upon upgrading. Do you think there will be an easy way to "reprocess" such .bar files?

What it means is that the apps that run now on PlayBook (and the Dev Alpha) should still run on BB10. No other conversions would be needed other that the .bar converter.

It also means that apps which currently fail probably still will, unless they add in Android NDK support.
