In my other thread about Android someone made a comment that got me thinking. I've spent time with a Samsung Galaxy Nexus S, the iPhone, WebOS, and I own a Playbook. When going from QNX and Android on the Nexus, to using the iPhone I feel like it's old and a downgrade. The iPhone is a beautiful piece of hardware and has all the apps imaginable but it doesn't feel as advanced, so to speak, as QNX or ICS to me.

With Windows 8, QNX and Android continuing to evolve will Apple have to create a new OS to replace iOS to keep up? Is a new UI on top of iOS possible?

Definitely. I get the same feeling when I try the current iPhone.

It's a quality device but it does feel like iPhone 5 can't come soon enough. The store-front grid of apps seems disjointed and stale.

It reinforces my belief that BB10 phones will be excellent
