    Like many others I am looking forward to the official release of 10.3.1 for non-Passport BB10 devices.
    But I haven't been able to find a clear answer on whether 10.3.1 is backwards compatible with 10.2.1.

    Will all current BB10 apps continue to function on 10.3.1 after device software is updated?

    Pal, the reason there is a 10.3.1 is backward compatibility. It WILL be there for ALL BlackBerry10 devices. New or old.

    As for apps, we have all been told that Adobe AIR runtime will br dropped. Apps coded using that language will not work. We'be been warned and the devs have been given a fair headstart to recode their apps.

    I'd just like to know when the official 10.3.1 is going to be released.... for some reason I thought it was going to be in October....

    They said it launches on the classic and all other devices, so I take that to mean it will be available the day the classic is officially released.
