Had this issue multiple times a day until I installed the newest update. Hasn't happened since. Hope it's taken care of for good.

It has only happened once, since Mr. Clewey became involved - and that time I am almost sure was a glitch in my home router.

I have not yet updated my OS.

That usually works for me too, but not the other day. I'm on Verizon 10.2.1.2126 and haven't received or side loaded the update yet (although it sounds like the update hasn't fixed the issue with the wifi for others either).

I think it's fair to say, despite the criticism I received in another thread that my inference in my initial post was correct. This was a BlackBerry problem. I'm glad they've taken steps to address it though. Since the last major outage I've had no other issues. They must have already put in place some redundancy in the background when they ping websites to test connections.

Could be a wifi antenna issue with your device. Have you experienced the issue on more than one network because of problems are only on one network (ie home) then it might be router issue. Try some trouble shooting with other non BlackBerry devices to rule out router issue.

Two BlackBerry devices. Q10 running 10.3.0.700 and z30 running 10.3.0.296.

Q10 just dropped Wifi, Z still connected. Reboot of phone resolved.

I still hold to my belief it is software related.

    you're right!
    i tried this trick:
Try the following settings to get the improved signal strength:

    # Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page.
    # Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your routers main/ basic setup page)
    # Make the Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
#Adjust the following advanced wireless settings:
~~ Lower the beacon interval from 100 to 75
~~ Lower the fragmentation threshold from 2346 to 2306
~~ Lower the RTS threshold from 2347 to 2307

    Now check the connectivity status...
found there: Linksys WRT120N Constantly Losing Connection - Linksys Community

Now the wifi seems stable... so it may have been only a router problem (as i didn't have trouble to connect to another wifi point i usually use, but it didn't connect right on as it should like a memorised point of access...)

Went to my carrier some days ago with a Q10 mic problem... and today they gave me a brand new Q1o. Everything is fine and dandy but now i have this issue which wasnt present in my previous Q10.

I dont know if it is the OS, because when i got home with the brand new Q10... it had the default factory OS and i wasnt able to get into WIFI

Then i updated my OS with BBLink to the 10.2.1.537 version...and i still cant connect to the WIfi.

I have not been able to connect, not even once since i got home earlier.

    Help me please.

Sounds like a major product recall heading for Blackberry...

Anyone interested in posting Serial numbers or date of purchase of their device?

It's only been about 16 hrs since I received the latest update from Bell but so far I haven't dropped wifi once.
This is the longest I've gone without dropping it since I noticed the problem months ago.
And yes, I have had both data and wifi on.

BlackBerry Q10 on T-Mobile, now unlocked. I have been using official and leak OS's of 10.1 10.2 10.2.1, currently on 10.2.1.3175. The issue was present on all versions and happens on different networks. I have a top tier router and know my settings, the Q10 is the only device ever to have problems.

This issue is getting on my nerves and T-Mobile will not release a 10.3 so I'll have to keep using leaked versions in a hope for this to go away. How can they not fix a problem like this and the double-typing for over a year...

It's been over 24hrs since I updated to the latest version from Bell and I'm sorry to say I'm still having issues with my z10 and my Q5. they both stop working still and I get the limited connection error. I have to turn off data services in order to keep my wifi working properly.

Both my laptop and my PC have no issues with my wifi. Neither does my play book and my friend's iPhone did not have issues when he was over for a bbq yesterday.

It's a pain but it's not the end of the world since I can just turn data off and things seem to work fine. I'll just have to wait for 10.3

Interesting scenario just took place at my office.

    1 - Q10 on 10.3.0.700 - Verizon
    1 - Motorola DROID - verizon
Both dropped wifi and wouldn't connect

    HOWEVER
    1 - Z30 on 10.3.0.296 - AT&T
    1 - iPhone - Sprint
    1 - laptop
Were all connected to wifi and working fine.

Sooooo all 5 devices on same router some connect some not. 5 Different hardware, 5 different software & and 3 different providers.

Can't blame BlackBerry but MIGHT Be able to blame Verizon as they are only common denominator with the two not connecting.

I hate to jinx this but I installed 10.2.1.2977 a small 17MB update from Rogers this morning and this is the first say in weeks I haven't had a wifi drop.

Of course once I post this I'll immediately start experiencing the bug again.

The difference with a phone is that you can't go hit a pub to get away from it.
