Yep, just happened in the last hour. Both mine and my wife's Q10 have got 'limited WI-FI connection probs'. Turn off mobile radio and WI-FI works, turn on the mobile radio and WI-FI does not work. Very frustrating as it now costing us both money for data!

That's exactly my point. Why should we need to turn anything off at all? Wr are forced to use our data which has the potential to cost us, the consumer, money.

Yes, happens to all as soon as the blackberry.com website goes down. I don't know why BlackBerry or Crackberry won't draw attention to this issue that costs consumers money.

yeah, i thought router or any similar issue. ffs. only now I saw this tread. and yeah - it happened to me in UK. and bb.com is down.

blackberry spoiled their image in 2011 outage when servers went down.
now this.. guys, how hard can it be?

Oddly enough, I never had this problem back when a bunch of people were complaining about it. Now I get it at the same time as everyone else and when BlackBerry servers go down. Needs to be fixed soon. It's not a good time for these things to happen.

Granted we know that the wifi connection uses blackberry.net or blackberry.com to test its connection, and when those sites are down, it make the wifi signal think it doesn't have an internet connection. It defaults back to your mobile data to keep you connected to an internet connection.

I suppose the logic is that, if you are at a hotspot (say starbucks), it tries to go to blackberry.com, gets a login page back and asks you if you want to sign in to a hotspot. I can follow the logic that far.

What I don't understand is why, why if you turn off your mobile data, the wifi will work regardless of being able to ping blackberry.net. At that point the logic seems to be "eh, whatever, connect." The fact that it works this way is just stupid.

Turning off data service workes as a temp measure. But when did this start? cause this whole time I've never had an issue with wifi anywhere. infact, i was connected to wifi at work earlier today.

this should be obvious solution, but I think, due to system security, you are not able to alter hosts

Just turn off network data and you will connect to wifi. You will still get phone calls. But yes they do need to get this sorted out and release a statement. Stop being quiet about it.

Yep I got it again today too. I have been getting the error about once a week for the past several months.
This is just plain embarrassing BlackBerry.. cmon get you sh*t together.

Have the same problem right now, and it really seems to be related to the blackberry.com servers as i cant reach them from pc or other device. all other pages work fine.
This really has to be fixed asap! i dont want to loose my wifi just because blackberry has a server or dns issue, i need this for work. Thank god this happended only yet when im going to sleep.

The "turning of mobile data"-fix works fine. Thanks for the tip!

was about to email Clewley about this. well.. let's do the temporary workaround. switch your mobile data people.. and your wifi is back in safe hands.

hopefully BBRY will get their acts together to put this mess to an end!
