Whatsapp will no longer support BB10 after that date. BB10 marketshare is not worth the time/effort at this point
You've been on this forum long enough to use the search button

Apparently the picture you posted already gave you your answer.
Passport SE, "The BlockBerry" - Cricket Wireless
Number of BlackBerry users is too small for whatsapp to develop the app...

Just got that msg today and was forced finally to updated in order to continue using it. B.S.!!! Thought I was going to be able to slide by with an older version. Ah well, guess it wasn't meant to be........

Have you not seen the other two thousand and counting threads about this non-issue?

Just because you don't like whatsapp your comment is flat out stupid. It is an issue. A very big one. That's why there are 2000 and counting threads about it.
Communication's sent over BBM are NOT secured!
Not an issue when you buy a PRIV

That's actually very true. Heard many people says whatsapp is not important but yet the responses to the end of support are massisve, so it's a big deal.

A $40 android phone takes care of your big deal....why act like this is more than it's entirety??

Only 27 posts for him. Because he's been a member doesn't mean he frequents the forums.
To answer OP, it is not worth WhatsApp to put resources into maintaining, given low BlackBerry market share.

Because he loves BlackBerry? So many on these forums replaced being helpful with being dismissive. Smh.

BlackBerry didn't release API's needed. Not Facebook's/WhatsApp's fault.
Thought it was the other way around....facebook, etc. not releasing their API's, which require resources to create and maintain....and not worth it anymore for the 5 people who still use blackberry.

Posting the identical question time and time again is plain stupid.
Asking the question on a forum for BlackBerry devices is stupid.
Asking the question of the developers of the app is smart.
Why aren't the people asking the question smart?

You have the facts incorrect. If you reverse what you wrote and think 180 degrees, you will have it right.

Apparently it's not a big deal to me. I just said by looking at how much reactions to this event, it is a big deal to majority. And maybe only 1 out of 50 would grab a $40 android phone just to replace whatsapp on bb10.

So the rest will just give up WA? Really? I doubt it.
