I get so frustrated with this. All I want to do is updating my Contacts/Calendar to my BB10 devices. Passport, Classic, Z10.
It takes forever to start BlackBerry Link on my Windows 10 Lenovo laptop. It takes forever to connect to my devices even though it says it is connected already. Most of the time it won't connect at all for whatever reason. Or I have to restart, reinstall. You name it, I've got it. It is really annoying. And if I finally got it to work, the sync ing may take forever. I have about 1600 contacts to sync, but is that so much?

Because the software is EOL and no longer supported or updated.

There's no need to manually sync contacts and calendar when you can do it automatically with Gmail or Outlook.com. Link died about a year ago for most people on Windows 10.

Switch to outlook.com. Then add that account to your BlackBerry device.

You don't need to switch from Office Outlook to Outlook.com, you can just sync your Office Outlook to Outlook.com and then sync your phone to Outlook.com.

    Absolutely.

But the thought of using a desktop client for email makes me a little ill. Lol.

I have to do this, but if Outlook.com is the same or similar to Office 365 Mail, then I find that the Outlook 2016 desktop client to have more functionality.

Of course, it could be habit from using Office for over 20 years.

With no updates in forever, this will happen more and more.

Legacy software won't stop working just because, specially on Windows as long as it still has the libraries for it, the software will work for decades.

My experience is strongly the opposite. For instance, an iTunes update brought Link to its knees.

    You probably have one device only. I have 4. 2 x Z10, a Passport and a Classic.
If Link works for one phone, try to disconnect it and connect another phone. No way this will work.
The only way to make it work for another OS10 device is to restart your Windows10 laptop.

I have no issue with Blend, works every-time. I gave up on Link about a year ago.

I have five (5) BB10 devices. Three family, and two for work.

I do connect and disconnect each via link. So far no issues. I use Win7.

I think the problem is with Windows 10. Because. Previously I used Windows XP and Link worked OK. But Blend did not work with XP.

win7 doesn't have a problem, meaning any new issues. Its Win10 because Link/Blend is not certified to work on it and Win10 is always being updated which can mean it may experience issues later on even if it works now.

Hate to throw a wrench in your hypothesis... but I use blend/link on my SurfacePro as well.... and it has win10... no issues.... My main use is on Win7 on my laptop though.

You're right for some reason Itunes has some effect on Link, weird.

Actually, BlackBerry still puts Link/Blend to download on their official website.
So why doesn't it work properly?
