    Hi,

I tested some OS builds from 10.0.3 to 10.3.1 with my blackberry devices for weeks but none came even close to 10.2.2. with signal and battery life.

Hmmm....is it because I use the german only OS in Germany or is it the best in other countries, too?

10.2.2 is so much better than any other OS....only the android apps open little bit slower but the overall performance is perfect.

Maybe because 10.3.1 is a leak and 10.2.2 isn't leak... hmm... just maybe!

Try the newest 10.3.1 leak and try the 996 radio I hear it's pretty good.

Just to confirm, 10.2.2.1609 for some reason has the best battery life and signal reception of all other builds I have tried on my Z10. All 10.3.x versions have noticeable UI lag on Z10 and many have virtual keyboard issues, including official 10.3.0.1418. I'm going to test the official 10.3.1 release when it comes available, but for now 10.2.2.1609 is definitely the best OS for Z10.

It is also the latest official build designed for the Z10 so it's not much of a surprise.

It is the latest 10.2.x build indeed, but only for part of Europe. With the latest official build here in North America I was getting few hours less battery life and no signal at all in underground garage where I park my car. Now I have 1 bar signal on the very same spot and can actually make a phone call. And it's a huge difference! I just don't understand why BlackBerry haven't implement the same improvements in other builds.

Most 10.2.1.3xxx builds are stuck with the 10.2.1.3140 radio (since it's easier to get bug fixes recertified if the actual network interface is the same). 10.2.2.1531/1609 has the newer 10.2.2.1532 radio.

    Case in point:

    10.2.1.3140: Build ID: 697677
    10.2.2.1532: Build ID: 739453

So quite a lot has happened. I guess the reluctance to put any effort to fixing 10.2.1 is because of the impending 10.3.1 release.

That's true it's the best OS for the Z10 I have tried so far.
    Signal reception is simply awesome.

My Q10 is now running 10.3.0.1418 the assistant really laggy and I miss the idea of universal search where all u have to do is type any given keys and it will pop up right away on 10.2 but on 10.3 it leads you to BlackBerry assistance immediately. I guess that's what you get for running the leaked.

Why are you running 10.3.0? That version of BlackBerry 10 was never designed for the Q10, if you want to run a pre-release build then run the latest available member of the 10.3.1 branch.

I understand your frustration with the extra step on the search, this is one of the first gripes I had when using my sisters Passport.

I'm not going to upgrade to 10.3.x and I don't care if and when it's coming. Don't like the androidish look with cartoon icons and gameboy style sliders and buttons. 10.2.x has distinctive look and unique BlackBerry style, it's smooth and stable.

10.3.0.1418 is not a leak, but official Passport OS release.
In my experience it runs better on Z10 than any 10.3.1.x leak, including the latest 10.3.1.1154.

I experienced bad radio for almost all 10.3 leaks (compared to 10.2.2 official)
But the battery life and Android runtime are better in 10.3!
10.3 gives me 15 to 16 hours in one cycle, while 10.2 give merely 10 to 12 hours!
