Why WhatsApp developer decide to left the bb10 with platform ? They should be leave the app as open source on this platform ...I didn't understand why the Facebook's staff did not permit to use API and so we can create native app on bb10 !

Unfortunately, it was an issue of money for the developers. At a certain point, the developers realised that they were spending more money than they were making by supporting a platform with few users, so they chose to cut their losses and support platforms that had substantial amount of users.

You could try to put out a "thunderclap" with other BlackBerry users. Goto their support page and ask for support for your device. They'll never know how much demand if nobody says a peep. And they'll never build it if nobody is ever asking for it.

Ask on their Twitter page too and encourage other BlackBerry users to reply under it too.

That's the only way to turn it around.

Lets say whatsapp has 1 billion daily users, which is a conservative estimate - WhatsApp Says it Has One Billion Daily Users | Fortune

Lets say that 10 thousand people "thunderclap", which is very very liberal estimate based on nothing in particular.

That is 0.01 percent of their daily users.
    Less than a rounding error.
But still probably the best play you have.
    Good luck.

Too few BB10 users left compared to the cost of maintaining an app.

Is this a serious question? You do know that BB10 is an abandoned OS (maintenance updates only), right? Why would major app developers be interested with it?

Figure the developer that maintained the BB10 app made $100k (US) per year. Total cost to WhatsApp with taxes, health care and benefits, office space, equipment, etc. would be about $200k per year. Let's say that there are 100k BB10 users on WhatsApp (it's probably less, but still). Does anyone think that you could get 5% of those users to pay for a native BB10 client? That would require a minimum of $40 per user per year. But what happens next year when 2/3 of the current BB10 users have moved on? Is everyone going to pay $120 for the second year?

That's exactly the kind of math that a business does when evaluating which platforms to support and for how long.

The Internet is a moving target, but BB10 is frozen in time. Any cross-platform app will need to abandon BB10 at some point as new features require OS changes that will never happen.

Not entirely certain. Not disagreeing with you but to some extent I know many issues can be filled with a supportive solutive.
