I'd just buy an android phone if I were you.

Hmm odds are high he owns an android device, too.

I'm also switching phones and OS'es. Then I also say what I dislike in BB10.

Just saying "go buy an iPhone etc" helps nobody, critic can help making OS better.

No, that's not what I want. If I had wanted Android, I wouldn't have bought this Z10.
I've had an Android tablet before, but I hated it because of its terrible performance and OS corruption which took place on a regular basis. Replaced it with a BlackBerry PlayBook 4G LTE.

What I want is an OS which is stable, and not plagued with bugs, as well as being a pleasure to use (which Android isn't) but it seems that BlackBerry achieved this with 10.2.1.xxx as I found this OS very stable, simple to use and had much less bugs.
But then 10.3.1.1xxx came along and has undone all of that. They shouldn't have released 10.3.1.1xxx for the Z10 unless it was truly finished, or not release it at all if the Z10's aging hardware is not capable of it. That would solve the poor performance at least.

I might try a full, destructive OS reload when BlackBerry are bothered enough to release the next OS update for the Z10, if that's ever.

You said you'd go with a destructive load of a new OS. It has been pushed out to other devices. You can get the autoloaders here:

And yes it is official. Even if it hasn't been pushed by your carrier

Used to hate the music player myself, but after using Neutron Player for about 5-6months, I've come to appreciate the more simple layout of the player. Equalizer defo needs work. Would've liked to have a Equalizer I can adjust manually. At the end of the day, it's purpose is to play music and that's what it does. I'm more concerned about finding a working Snapchat APK.

Sorry but what's an autoloader? I've never used them before, I thought non-destructive means that it's like an incremental update downloaded over 3G or 4G, and a destructive OS reload is done through BlackBerry Link using 'Reload Device Software'?

This. Why do no modern smartphones allow this anymore? I remember my old Nokia 6233 S40 feature phone which had a 5 band manually adjustable EQ. Now no modern smartphone allows for this, only presets.

I'd dump Snapchat, I deleted it after upgrading to BlackBerry 10.3.1, because it wouldn't work at all, says that I need to upgrade to the latest version to log in. The latest version enforces the requirement of Google Play services, and denies logging in or signing up without Google Play Services. So I deleted the app and terminated my account. I wonder if my mates will notice... I'm trying to convert them to BBM because it actually is cross-platform, and supports pretty much all major smartphone OSs (unlike Snapchat), but sadly, I'm not doing a very good job.

    Finally got an update.
Don't like doing updates OTA, but had to do this one over data because my laptop with BlackBerry Link is dead.
Surprisingly, downloading the update was done in about 2 minutes, however, installing took over an hour. For a 71MB update, that was painful.
    Why I'm disappointed with 10.3.1.1xxx-img_20150407_171553.png
Right now, nothing seems to be different, all of the issues I've listed in this topic are still present.
I think this update was purely to patch the FREAK vulnerability on the device's browser.
